Miles Smith

Before becoming a Regional Analyst, Miles earned a BA in International Relations and Politics from Durham University, where he developed a strong interest in geo-strategic affairs, international security, and the political dynamics of some of the world’s largest democracies.

During his time at Durham, Miles was actively involved with the Politics Society and took Russian language courses, gaining a foundational understanding of the language. At the same time, he helped manage his family farm, running his own agricultural business. This experience gave him insight into the operations of rural businesses, the impact of government policies on rural communities, and the importance of environmental and food security.
